Robust firewood boilers for
ardent firewood users

Värmebaronen has a broad range of easily operated firewood boilers.
Our VEDOLUX and COMBIMAX models come in many different outputs, with natural draught or fan, all as easy to operate.

Our BIOMAX double boiler with its two combustion chambers offers the opportunity of combining firewood and pellets with electric heating as backup.

Firewood burning should be simple and easy. The boiler must be easy to clean and light. All our boilers are managed from the front; no uncomfortable working positions are required. All cleaning is through the same shutter on the front of the boiler. The soot collects in the ashbox with no risk of combusting. Simple, but first and foremost safe!
Remember you have to be friends with your boiler for some time to come… In 20 years time you might not be able to bend down as easily...

Light for ONE minute
To light the boiler, fill the combustion chamber with firewood and light for one minute using the gasol lighter supplied. Could it be any simpler and quicker? We think not.

An easy to manage and newly cleaned boiler uses less firewood =
less time chopping wood.
Remember that when choosing a firewood boiler!

 Environmentally approved
Our complete range of firewood boilers are of course tested and environmentally approved in compliance with the Swedish Testing and Research Institute directives.

If you choose Värmebaronen you get a heating system that delivers what it promises. Our firewood boilers came nowhere near being included on the list of problem boilers and heat pumps compiled by all Swedish insurance companys.

ABOUT CLEANING

Unequalled cleaning - compare
with other firewood boilers!

If you have used firewood previously you will know that it requires more work than, for example, oil firing. A modern firewood boiler reduces the effort, our boilers in particular.
A new boiler that is not cared for soon loses its efficiency; firewood soils the heat transferring surfaces. Soot insulates so the heat just goes straight up the chimney. To avoid this, surfaces should be cleaned
regularly.

The flues on all our firewood boilers are cleaned from the same shutter on the front of the boiler. The flues are rounded so there are no inaccessible corners. All shutters are hinged and are opened with a simple grip.

To avoid having to go down on your knees to put in firewood and rake ash, place the boiler on a stand. The stand has a practical ashbox that safely stores the ash. Rake from the boiler directly into the box and avoid ash on the floor.

Put a small bunch of sticks in the bottom and then fill the whole chamber with wood. With the gasol lighter provided it takes little more than a minute to light the boiler. You quickly get a better and more environmental burning at the same time as you avoid waiting for combustion before you can fill with firewood.

Firewood boiler Combimax 30 UB
Firewood boiler Vedolux 40 UB
Firewood boiler Vedolux 50 UB

The natural choice of the ardent firewood user!
Combimax and Vedolux are ceramic firewood boilers with reverse combustion, designed for people who use firewood as their main fuel.

The Combimax combustion chamber is 40cm deep. In Vedolux it is a whole 57 centimetres deep , with a good margin for half metre firewood. Large combustion chamber contributes to making firewood burning as comfortable as possible.

Combimax 30 UB and Vedolux 40 UB firewood boilers
Combimax 30 UB and Vedolux 40 UB firewood boilers come without a hot water heater. A stand is available to bring the boilers up to a comfortable working height. The stand has an ashbox into which it is easy to rake the ash.

Vedolux 50 UB firewood boiler
Vedolux 50 UB comes without a hot water heater. The boiler is factory mounted on a stand to bring it up to a comfortable working height

UB = without hot water heater
To get the most comfortable and effective system possible, a hot water heater is placed in an accumulator tank. The boiler functions as a loader to the accumulator tank, automatic controls ensure it is only open to the system during firing.

Comfort, safety and environment
The boilers are designed to fire at full effect without producing excess flue gas temperatures (reduces the fire risk). They then provide more heat than what the house needs so they require an accumulator tank. This allows you to limit the number of firings to 1-2 a day. As well as being environmentally friendly it facilitates simple handling and provides better comfort.

Vedolux 30/37 are firewood boiler with fans

Vedolux 30/37 are firewood boilers with suction fans for half metre firewood and reverse combustion. These boilers are natural complements to our tried and tested natural draught boilers Combimax and Vedolux.

Vedolux 30/37 are firewood boilers with suction fans, mainly designed for firewood but can also be used for pellets and oil. The combustion chamber is designed for reverse combustion with ceramic grates. The combustion chamber is 550mm deep and has plenty of room for half metre firewood. Used correctly, the boiler has a very high efficiency level with small emissions of environmentally hazardous substances.

Easy to clean = less firewood needed
All flues are cleaned from the same shutter on the front of the boiler, making it very easy to economy clean the boiler. The flues are rounded so there are no inaccessible corners.

Accumulator tank = high comfort
For best burning and fuel efficiency, and to fulfil the firewood environmental requirements, the boiler must have an accumulator tank(s). Accumulator tanks hold the heat longer between each firing.

The boilers comes with a gasol lighter, flue pipe, cleaning tools with hanging bracket, flue gas thermometer, temperature and pressure gauges and a draining tap.

Accessories: Stand with ashbox, Accumulator controls 3, vertical flue pipe and swivel arm for the oil burner (Viking Bio pellets burner can be mounted directly onto the firewood door).

Vedolux CU firewood boiler

Combimax CU Vedolux CU
Dual purpose boiler with hot water heater.

Combimax CU
The boiler has a copper-lined hot water heater and electric elements. The output in seven steps connects when required. It is also equipped with a load guard, which means you manage with a smaller main fuse. Combimax CU has automatic tariff control.
Combimax CU is also an excellent pellets boiler.

Vedolux CU
Vedolux CU has two outlets for complementing with electric elements, and a 130-litre copper-lined hot water heater.

PLEASE NOTE. No accumulator tank is required for pellets burning!

Biomax

New Biomax uses tested double boiler technology but is fully adapted to modern biofuels and high demands on comfort. A modern classic that stems from our popular workhorse Triomax.
Biomax gives you the freedom to choose fuel based on what you yourself find easiest and most economical. The boiler runs just as well on pellets as firewood. The separate combustion chambers make choice of fuel simple. In addition, it functions perfectly as a 9kW electric boiler, which is sufficient for most houses. The boiler can easily be converted to oil firing.

Combination burning has its advantages
You can for instance burn firewood in the spring and autumn and pellets during the winter. In the summer you use pellets or electricity for heating hot water. You choose what suits you best. When you do not want to burn firewood, pellets operation is economic anyway.
As backup you have the boiler's electric mode that takes over automatically should you run out of pellets. Safe and secure.

Simple firewood burning
The combustion chamber is 40cm deep and is designed for reverse combustion with ceramic grates and an afterburner. It takes little more than a minute to light the boiler with the gasol lighter supplied. All cleaning is quick and simple through the same shutter. It could not be simpler!

Comfortable pellets burning
The Viking Bio pellets burner can remain mounted on the front of the boiler. The boiler door has a snap latch and can be opened so far that the burner hangs at the side of the boiler. A pull out ashbox at the bottom of the combustion chamber makes it easy to empty the boiler of ash.

Environmental requirements
The boiler has been tested by the Swedish Testing and Research Institute and fulfils all their requirements by a wide margin. If you use firewood you will need an accumulator tank, if you only use pellets then you can manage without.
